We will close each day from 1pm for 30 minutes for Lunch. During this time emergencies will be dealt with by the On-Call doctor who will be available on the telephone number recorded on the answering service at the time if you cannot wait until the Surgery re-opens at 1.30 pm.
The surgery will be closed on the following public holidays. If you need to see a doctor while the surgery is closed please contact NHS 24 by calling 111. In the event of a medical emergency, dial 999.
Your local Pharmacist can assist with over-the-counter remedies and Direct Care.
Your local Optician can deal with sore, sticky or red eyes.
Non-urgent advice: When We Are Closed
This practice is a member of Ayrshire Doctors on Call (ADOC).
If you require urgent medical help between 5.30 pm and 8.00 am (Mon – Fri) or over the weekend please call 111.
Your call will be answered by NHS 24 who will refer any treatment required to your local centre. This service is operated by Doctors and Advanced Nurse Practitioners and the number is available by calling the surgery answering service at any time out-of-hours. The number is 1 1 1.
Please remember the service is for urgent problems which cannot wait until the surgery re-opens. If you are housebound or too ill to attend a doctor will visit.
Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
If you have a genuine medical emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute a medical emergency.
