Patient Access
Non-urgent advice: Prescriptions Notice
Prescriptions will be ready for collection two working days after ordering. If you have any “special request” prescriptions we will ask the Doctor for this and inform you if there is a problem.
Please do not block our telephone lines by telephoning to ask if a prescription is ready.
Several of the local chemists offer a daily collection service – please let us know which chemist you wish your prescriptions to go to. In some cases the chemist can also deliver your medication to your home – we understand there may be a small charge for this service. Your chemist will be able to advise you.
Arrangements can also be made to post out repeat prescriptions by your providing the Surgery with Stamped Addressed Envelopes (SAE).
Please note that prescription requests issued by the hospital will normally be ready for collection after two working days. The hospital will inform us if the prescription is required earlier.
Medication Reviews
Patients on repeat medication may be asked to see a doctor, or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip.
Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescription requests.
